What is Shiatsu Massage?
Japan is a country of ancient culture and influence. From its rich history, iconic buildings, beautiful landmarks and delicious food, it truly has made its mark across the globe. Japan is also highly famous for its relaxing and unique massage therapy that has been taught and developed over centuries. Like many massage styles, “Shiatsu” massage therapy was developed in ancient Japan, with its name deriving from the Japanese words for “finger pressure.” Shiatsu works by applying finger pressure to various different points of the body, moving in a specific rhythm and motion to help create relaxation and relief.
